Disclaimer: This is not an original work, but a derivative from TERA (The Exiled Realm of Arborea) MMORPG. I'm ready to remove it from my deviant gallery after the first notice from game developers (Bluehole Studios) if they choose so.
I've made a screenshot from the game. Spent quite some time retouching it, then cut it out, created another screenshot for a background, edited it as well and here it is.
This was used as part of "Charity Event" for NA TERA fans. As of 31.07.13 you can still participate in it and have a retouched render of your own character for free. The details you can read here: tera-forums.enmasse.com/forums….
PS. Actually it's not a "render" in its pure sense but more like "retouched cut-out", because no 3D-program is involved. But since images of this kind are often called "renders" on the net, I'll stick to this naming.
When this event is over - you can still order a render of your ingame character (not only TERA but any other game) for a reasonable price. You'll just have to submit an ingame screenshot. But since I'm not a magician, but just a retoucher, I need a rather high quality source to make a render. I won't be able to make a good one from 640x480 image with crappy quality. I still have to redraw A LOT, but in this case I would have to redraw just the whole image - and that's too much. As I said - "not a magician". So, the perfect requirements would be: 1680x1050, 1920x1200 and bigger screenshots made preferably in .png or .bmp format. There is a possibility that I can take .jpg, but I'd prefer not to use one. Because .jpg may seem normal for you, but beleive me, for this purposes, it is not good enough, I'm tired of fighting with artefacts from jpeg compression (especially when I don't have to in case of .png or .bmp).
If we agree on financial terms - I'll make a retouched render and present it to you with a watermark and in a .jpg format. If you're satisfied with it you make a payment transfer and I send you a clean .png (no watermarks, no inscriptions and with a transparent background). If you want I can also send you an original file in .psd format.
